Your local contact in Swedish Lapland
Luleå Travel is a tour operator in Swedish Lapland, the northernmost part of Sweden. We at Luleå Travel have worked and travelled for years in Arctic regions and choose Luleå to call our home.
Our experience, insider’s knowledge and key contacts in each destination allow us to create unique programs for private travellers and corporate events. We offer all season activities and holidays. From short trips near the city of Luleå to multiple day holidays.
In some of our travel packages the Sámi culture has a prominent place. In other products we combine the best Swedish Lapland has to offer with iconic activities for the region; Dog Sledding, Snowmobiling, Snowshoe walking and Northern Light tours to name a few.
Are you curious about Swedish Lapland and would prefer personal service, rather than dealing with a larger and anonymous supplier of experiences in Sweden? Then you are most welcome to contact us.

Dirk Koolwijk
Owner
Dirk moved from the Netherlands to Sweden in 2016 and is the founder and driving force behind Luleå Travel. Before migrating to Swedish Lapland, he had a successful company in the maritime industry. His valid sailing competence brought him often to Norway and Svalbard, working with tourists and discovering his passion for the cold Arctic. His eagerness to develop products and eye for detail is the base for many products you find on the website from Luleå Travel. With being an authorized guide for the UNESCO site Gammelstad he has deep local knowledge and many good stories to tell you.
