To complete your holiday you can customize your holiday further with optional activities like Snowmobiling, Ice fishing or Snowshoe walking.
The coastal city of Luleå
This iconic Swedish Lapland Holiday starts in Luleå, the largest city of Swedish Lapland. Located on the coast, 150km south of the Arctic Circle. Here you will stay 2 nights in a modern and centrally located hotel right next to the waterfront. From December, Luleå is a frozen wonderland of snow and ice trails, where you can ski, skate, walk and sled across the bay directly from the city centre. Located close to the Arctic Circle, means that from September until March you can, under good conditions, spot the magical Northern Lights!
Abisko National Park
From the coastal city of Luleå, the journey proceeds by train into the alpine surrounding of the Abisko National Park. About 200km north of the Arctic Circle. Here you will stay 2 nights by the STF Mountain Station, located in the heart of Abisko National park. Being located within the Arctic and very frequently inside the Aurora Oval means that during the winter, Abisko often experiences fantastic Northern Lights. A 20-minute ride brings you up to a height of 900 meters above sea level to visit the Aurora Sky Station, one of the best places on earth for Northern Lights viewing.
