Arctic Explorer
During winter icebreaker cruises depart from Piteå. Listen to the sound of crackling ice, crashed ice blocks rise from the icebreaker hull letting and dark water splashing out. In the beginning of winter ice is not more than 30-50 cm thick, but by April it could reach up to 1 m. Arctic Explorer is keeping daily routine from December to early April making route for ships through the frozen sea in Piteå. Join the Icebreaker daily work for 2 h and feel as part of the crew.
