Autumn Holiday & Northern Lights- Swedish Lapland | Luleå Travel

Autumn holiday

Amazing Autumn in Lapland (5 days / 4 nights)

Enjoy the golden autumn colors and crisp temperatures during this 5 day Autumn holiday in both Sweden and Finnish Lapland. Experience the magic of the Northern Lights during the evening and be impressed by what Lapland’s nature has to offer you.

Autumn Northern Lights

While most people go for Northern Lights hunting together with other winter activities, the Best Aurora Viewing Season is actually Autumn. Autumn usually has a clearer sky, is less cloudy and has least risk of snowing weather. The earth’s orientation towards the sun during Autumn maximises the probability of solar flares interacting with the planet’s magnetic field to generate this phenomenon. This Autumn Aurora holiday is therefore perfect for aurora hunters during the warmest time of the entire Northern light season.

This 5-day holiday highlights hand-picked accommodations, including an award-winning Glass Villa by the Bothnian Coast in Kemi, offering panorama views to spot the magical Northern Lights from your bedroom. The other 2 nights you will spend in the newest Spa Hotel in Luleå, the biggest city in Swedish Lapland. The package includes a Northern lights tour, a visit to the Moose & Reindeer Park as well as a guided tour to UNESCO World Heritage site Gammesltad.

Finnish Lapland – Kemi

Kemi situates close to the Finnish border near the Gulf of Bothnia. This small Lappish town is well connected by daily flights to Helsinki, as well as train network to other parts of Finland. In Kemi this package includes a fairy-tale-like ice-sculpture exhibition for you. You also have the option from Kemi to visit the famous Santa Claus Village and the Ranua Wildlife Zoo.

Swedish Lapland – Luleå

Located by the Bothnian Bay just below the Arctic Circle, Luleå is well known as “The Gateway to Swedish Lapland”. It is surrounded by over 1,300 islands, the brackish sea, river valleys and vast forestland.
