Discover Arctic Scandinavia – Swedish Autumn
This is a series of guided tours covering the Arctic part of Scandinavia. This tour with a theme of Swedish Autumn focuses on the the Northern most part of Sweden. In 7 days you will explore and drive together with an experienced guide beyond and above the Arctic Circle, see some of the world’s most unique landscapes, experience the Sámi culture, untouched nature, Nordic traditions and taste local food.
Since prehistoric times the Sámi people of Arctic Europe have lived and worked in this area. They have followed their reindeer to different seasonal grazing areas for thousands of years. During this holiday you will visit traditional Sámi places like Jokkmokk and Arjeplog and experience outdoor activities as fishing and berry picking. You will also meet and feed reindeers in a Sámi camp.
In this tour, you will bring a visit to the mining city Kiruna and the world famous ICEHOTEL in Jukkasjärvi. Alongside the Torne river you continue following the Swedish – Finnish border into the picturesque fishing village Kukkolaforsen, before heading back to Luleå. In 7 days, you will travel through some of the world’s most unique landscapes, experience Sámi culture and cross the Arctic Circle.
