Northern Lights on kicksled

This Northern Lights kicksled tour, is a family friendly activity that gives you the chance to experience the Northern Lights during the early evening hours in a fun and eco-friendly way.

You will meet your guide at the south harbour in Luleå and together you will go out on the popular ice track. With use of the traditional kicksled you will glide over the ice into the dark polar night and soon leave the city centre behind you. Kicksledding is easy to learn and does not require any special skills. Even the family’s smallest children can enjoy this activity by sitting comfortably on the front seat of the kicksled.

Northern Lights explained

On a nice spot a fire will be made. Here you can relax, enjoy hot steaming coffee and listen to the sparkling fire while sitting comfortable on reindeer skins. Your experienced guide will tell you more about the background of the Northern Lights, explaining the different colours, get tips how to photograph them and learn about myths and mythology around this mysterious phenomenon from our ancient ancestors.

This is your chance to experience the winter night in a truly unique way and when lucky even see the Northern Lights appear across the night sky.
